Train My Camera

Draft guide

Connect Front Systems to Train My Camera

Sync your product catalog automatically into Train My Camera. The connection is read-only, and you can test it free with up to 20 items on the Free plan.

Before you start

Make sure you are a Train My Camera team owner or admin, then have these Front Systems details ready.

  • A merchant x-api-key from a Front Systems Backoffice integration user.
  • A Train My Camera team where you are an owner or admin.
  • Products available through the Front Systems product master data API.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Create or find the integration user. In Front Systems Backoffice, create or locate an integration user for Train My Camera. Use Company scope if the Train My Camera team should sync products across stores.
  2. Copy the x-api-key. Copy the merchant x-api-key from that integration user. Train My Camera stores it on your team's Front Systems integration.
  3. Open Checkout sync. In Train My Camera, switch to the right team, open Manage, then choose Checkout sync.
  4. Choose Front Systems. Select Front Systems, paste the x-api-key, and connect.
  5. Review products. Click Review products. Train My Camera reads the product list before making catalog changes.
  6. Choose scope. Select all products, selected product groups, or individual products. The selected active count is checked against your Train My Camera item limit before sync.
  7. Save and sync. Choose image handling, then click Save setup and sync now. Later manual syncs and automatic sync use the saved selection.

Provider facts used by this connector

  • Front Systems requests use HTTPS with the merchant x-api-key plus Train My Camera's Front Systems subscription key.
  • The product pull uses the documented read/filter POST /api/Product endpoint with paging.
  • Product identity centers on extId, productExtId, and size or variant identity where present.
  • Product sizes can include external SKU, GTIN/EAN, size labels, and stock quantities.

What syncs

Train My Camera imports the fields that exist in your Front Systems catalog. Empty fields stay empty in Train My Camera.

Train My Camera field Front Systems source
Name Product name plus variant, color, or size label where needed.
Category Product group name, subgroup, category, or brand fallback.
Display price Size price list price, product price, or productPrices fallback.
SKU Size externalSKU where available.
Barcode Size GTIN, product GTIN, EAN, or barcode-style identifiers.
Provider identity extId, productExtId, product id, and size-level identity when present.
Image First images[] URL or pictureRef where available.
Extra metadata Stock quantity, brand, season, color, product number, variant, cost, and raw POS metadata.
Sizes and variants Sizes group under one Train My Camera item with a size picker when the provider exposes size-level data. Size options do not count against the item limit.

Read-only reassurance

Train My Camera never writes to Front Systems. Product names, prices, SKUs, barcodes, categories, images, inventory, orders, and checkout settings stay owned by your POS. Edit those details in Front Systems, then run Sync now or leave automatic sync enabled for the saved selection.

Troubleshooting

The key is rejected

Confirm you copied the merchant x-api-key from the Front Systems Backoffice integration user. A developer subscription key is not the same as the merchant x-api-key.

The product list is empty

Check that the integration user has access to the company or store scope that contains the products you want to sync.

Prices or images look incomplete

Front Systems accounts can expose price lists and image fields differently. Check the product in Backoffice, then rerun Review products.

Some items have no barcode

Train My Camera imports GTIN/EAN/barcode values when Front Systems provides them. Items without barcodes in Front Systems simply show no barcode.
